Fairway Billboards Enter into an Eco-Friendly Era
Augusta, GA (February 26, 2009)-- Fairway Outdoor Advertising adopts a new environmentally friendly technology that eliminates paste and paper from its operations, while
providing a superior product for its clients. The new billboard technology, which is known as either single sheet posters or eco-posters, will become a standard
operational practice beginning on March 1, 2009. The announcement was made today by Mark Moyer, Fairway president.
Single sheet posters are made from a durable, yet lightweight material called polyethylene (PE). Once the advertising life-span of a single sheet poster has expired, the
materials are then used by recycling centers. The PE posters are shredded and recycled into railroad ties and other environmentally friendly products.
''Single sheet posters are a far more superior product than their paper counterparts,'' said Moyer. ''Our environment, advertisers and community will all benefit from this
new technological advancement.''
Headquartered in Augusta, Fairway Outdoor Advertising has
branch offices in Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina
and Tennessee. Fairway also provides services to clients
in Virginia and Alabama.
