Desert Cities Hunger Action June 8, 2003 Steve Guild, General Manager Dear Steve: I don't know where to begin to thank you and Fairway for all you did to make the 2nd Annual Hidden Harvest Summer Food Drive such a success. I'm not even sure the drive would have happened at all this year without your steady leadership and encouragement. The billboards were fantastic as was your great staff. I enjoyed all my interactions with Carla and Rich. But of course, your contribution goes beyond the billboards. Your presence at many civic and business meetings, promoting the food drive and raising the public's awareness of childhood hunger was invaluable. The volunteers you organized through both Leadership Coachella Valley and your Palms to Pines Rotary were among the best volunteers in food drive history. They were highly motivated and very well versed on the mission of the drive. The final tally from all the stores is not in yet, but I can tell you this already the stores that were manned by both LCV and Palms to Pines Rotary did more food drive business than during any other food drive ever held there. Congratulations to them and salute to you. Many people volunteered out of loyalty and respect for their friendship with you. Steve, thank you again so much. You and Fairway Outdoor Advertising have been great partners for Hidden Harvest and for the hungry children of the Coachella Valley. Next year bigger and better!!
