No Education = No Future

The Honorable William Clinton
The White House

Dear Mr. President:
By now, your office should have received an invitation to one
of the more interesting programs brought to my attention in many
years. Because of your announced commitment to making education
reform a key component of your second term, I hope you will give
serious consideration to participating in the planned event.
As you will see from the enclosed materials (the originals have
already been sent to you), a dynamic education awareness campaign
has been launched by an excellent corporate citizen of the Six
District of North Carolina. Fairway Outdoor Advertising of the
Triad, located in Greensboro, North Carolina, is sponsoring a
"No Education = No Future" public service billboard
campaign.
The goal is to have 30 of these outdoor signs placed throughout
central North Carolina in the coming weeks. We would be most honored
if you would consider travelling to the Six District of North
Carolina to help paint the 30th and final billboard. I have agreed
to participate, but we would be thrilled to have you join us.
The planned painting of the last sign is very flexible and would
be accommodated to fit your extremely busy schedule. Enclosed
are copies of the materials already sent to your office. I hope
you will consider coming to North Carolina to show a tangible
support of your commitment to education.
Sincerely,
Howard Coble

Dear Jimmy:
Thank you for asking for our assistance in inviting President
Clinton to participate in your outstanding program. I also appreciate
your inviting me to participate.
I have enclosed a copy of the letter we sent to President Clinton.
I hope the President or a member of his Cabinet will be able to
join us.
Please keep Jan Scott in our Greensboro office apprised of your
plans so that I will be able to attend. Thanks again for all that
you are doing to better schools for our children.
Sincerely,
Howard Coble
